Allergy Procedures

The Ice Cream Barn takes customers with allergies and dietary sensitivities extremely seriously. Our entire staff of ice cream makers and scoopers are trained to take all precautions to prevent cross-contamination of allergens. During processing, extreme caution and attention to detail is used to create safe and delicious ice cream. Precautions taken when scooping an allergy for a customer include, but are not limited to, hand washing prior to scooping that ice cream, using a clean scoop, and scraping the top layer off of the ice cream beforehand. Although we use extreme caution, the ice cream barn cannot 100% guarantee ice cream free of allergens. Our facility uses and processes common allergens such as peanuts, tree nuts, gluten, and dairy. If you indicate that you have an allergy, we will use the procedures mentioned above to prevent cross-contamination with your listed allergen, but we cannot guarantee that it is 100% allergen-free if the allergen is present in our facility.
